Overview
As Construction Project Manager, you will oversee retail concession fit-outs in a fast-paced airport setting. You’ll drive end-to-end delivery, coordinating design, procurement, and construction while meeting programme, budget, and safety standards. You’ll work with airport authorities, retailers, and contractors to minimise disruption to operations and passenger experience. This is a high-profile, live-environment role where your delivery impact shapes customer spaces and brand experiences.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of retail concession projects (fit-outs, refurbishments, new openings)
- Coordinate design, procurement, and construction phases to ensure timely execution
- Liaise with airport authorities, retailers, designers, and contractors to align on requirements and compliance
- Ensure works comply with airport regulations, security protocols, and health & safety standards
- Monitor budgets, schedules, and risks with regular stakeholder reporting
- Oversee contractor performance on site ensuring quality and adherence to specifications
- Facilitate permits, approvals, and access within a live airport environment
Key requirements
- Proven experience delivering retail fit-out or concession projects, ideally in airports or complex environments
- Strong construction project management principles and lifecycle delivery understanding
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders in regulated, operational settings
- Qualifications in construction, project management, or related discipline (e.g. HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of CDM regulations and health & safety compliance
