We are partnering with a rapidly expanding global operational services organisation with a strong footprint across multiple European markets. As the business continues its ambitious growth journey, we are seeking a commercially focused and strategic HR Director to lead the regional people agenda and drive organisational performance across diverse, multi-site operations.
This is a high impact leadership role, overseeing HR strategy and operations across several European countries within a complex, fast-paced, service-led environment. The successful candidate will be a visible executive partner to regional leadership teams, aligning people strategy with commercial objectives while ensuring consistency, compliance and cultural alignment across markets.
The role:
- Design and deliver a European people strategy aligned to business growth, operational excellence and cultural cohesion.
- Lead and develop country HR teams, ensuring consistent standards across workforce planning, employee relations, talent, reward and compliance.
- Partner with regional MDs and senior stakeholders to drive organisational design, performance improvement and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Embed a high-performance culture, implementing robust appraisal, succession and leadership development frameworks.
- Oversee workforce planning across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring effective labour management within operational environments.
- Ensure full compliance with European employment legislation, works councils and local regulatory frameworks.
- Drive engagement, retention and capability-building strategies across a geographically dispersed workforce.
- Champion diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives across the region.
Experience:
- Proven experience as an HR Director or Senior HR Leader within a multi-country European remit.
- Background in operational, multi-site or service-led environments (e.g., retail, facilities management, hospitality, logistics or similar).
- Strong commercial acumen with experience aligning HR strategy to revenue growth, margin improvement and operational efficiency.
- Deep understanding of European employment law and experience operating within unionised and regulated environments.
- Demonstrated success leading organisational change, transformation and cultural alignment across markets.
