Executive Chief Steward – Luxury Resort

We’re seeking an experienced Executive Chief Steward to lead the Stewarding Department at a luxury Caribbean resort.This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing a team of approximately 30 employees and ensuring exceptional standards of cleanliness, sanitation, organization and operational support across the property.
The Role
- Lead, train, motivate and develop the Stewarding team of approximately 30 employees.
- Oversee the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchens, storage areas, employee dining and stewarding facilities.
- Manage scheduling, labor costs, purchasing, inventory and departmental expenses.
- Ensure the proper care, maintenance and security of all stewarding equipment and machinery.
- Coordinate closely with the Executive Chef, F&B leadership and banquet teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Oversee the supply, storage and distribution of china, silver, glassware and other service equipment.
- Support banquet setup and service requirements across the property.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as an Assistant Chief Steward, Executive Steward or equivalent F&B supervisor.
- Luxury hotel or resort experience is essential.
- Caribbean experience is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience leading and developing a large stewarding team.
- Strong knowledge of commercial dishwashing, kitchen cleaning equipment and sanitation standards.
- Comfortable managing inventory, scheduling and departmental costs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Computer proficiency and the ability to prepare reports and work with banquet event orders.
- Bilingual skills are an advantage.
- Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced resort environment.
