Our client is a multi-site, multi-brand hospitality and foodservice group, including franchised operations, entering a pivotal phase of its growth. They are looking for a Management Accountant to join a small central finance team, reporting to a Director and supported by an external accountant.
The role is based on-site during the probation period, but is open to hybrid work after an initial 6 months.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, across multiple entitiesProduce site and brand-level P&L packs with variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior yearOwn weekly and monthly KPI reporting, including sales mix, labour %, food cost % and EBITDA by siteMonitor cash and working capital, including weekly cash forecasting, settlements, supplier terms, VAT and PAYEPerform balance sheet reconciliations, debtor/creditor reviews and intercompany accountingSupport budgeting and rolling forecasts across sales, labour, food, overheads and capexTrack royalty, marketing levy and franchise fee obligations by brandMaintain month-end processes and work with the external accountant and auditors to keep files audit-readyImprove the flow of data from POS to the ledger and automate routine reportingKey SkillsMulti-site hospitality experience is essential; experience in a multi-brand or franchised environment is a strong advantageACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified, or part-qualified with strong experienceProven month-end, reconciliation and management reporting experienceStrong Excel skills, with experience of POS data and ERP or consolidation toolsComfortable working in high-volume, low-margin trading modelsAble to turn numbers into clear actions for site and operations teamsHands-on and organised, comfortable working with a Director and an external accountant
