I'm recruiting a Head Chef for a busy hospital catering operation in North London.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of an established kitchen, improve the food offering and bring fresh ideas to a varied staff and visitor restaurant.
You’ll have a Sous Chef supporting you and the opportunity to make real difference to the food and service.
Salary & Benefits
- Up to £40,000 salary
- Predominantly Monday–Friday.
- Occasional weekend shifts.

The Operation
- Busy hospital staff and visitor restaurant.
- Approximately 200–300 customers daily.
- Fresh breakfast and lunch service.
- Hot food counters and daily specials.
- Grab-and-go, salads and yoghurt bar.
- Varied international, vegetarian and vegan dishes.
- Around 11 dishes across the daily food offering.
The Role
- Lead the daily kitchen operation.
- Create fresh, appealing meals and daily specials.
- Manage and develop the Sous Chef and kitchen team.
- Maintain excellent food quality and presentation.
- Oversee ordering, stock, food costs and waste.
- Deliver menus through the company's catering system.
- Maintain food safety, allergen and hygiene standards.
- Work closely with management to improve the food offering.
About You
- Experienced Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step up.
- Background in contract catering, healthcare, B&I, education or high-volume catering.
- Confident delivering fresh food for busy restaurant services.
- Experience managing kitchen teams and food costs.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and allergens.
- Creative with menus, organised and hands-on.
- Passionate about improving food quality and customer experience.
