Overview
In this role you will service and maintain commercial heating and HVAC systems across multiple retail sites on a mobile basis.
You’ll work within an HVAC team on a major UK contract, handling planned maintenance and reactive repairs to keep facilities running smoothly.
The position includes a 24/7 on-call rota, safety and compliance focus, and close collaboration with site teams.
This is a hands-on, impact-driven engineering role with broad responsibility across equipment and installations.

Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs across multiple sites
- Service and repair commercial boilers, fans, pumps, AHUs and FCUs
- Complete minor alterations and installations within area of competence
- Attend breakdowns and diagnose faults efficiently
- Identify non-repairable equipment and recommend replacements
- Complete service reports and update work through a PDA system
- Order parts and spares in line with procedures
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rota (about 1 week in 4)
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, compliance and customer service
- Key requirements
- NVQ or SVQ Level 3 in Heating, Ventilation, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC or equivalent
- Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance
- Experience in commercial or retail environments
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfort working at height and in confined spaces
- Good customer service and communication skills
