Venue Manager - “Indoor Adventure playground”
Location Chester
Salary: £34,000 - £39,000+
I'm partnering with a fantastic family-first indoor playground in the North West of England where fun meets safety.
Your mission? Keep every guest safe and smiling while creating a warm, professional, and brilliantly run play hub. You'll lead, coach, and energise a high-performing team, set the bar high on operations, and drive the centre's commercial success—hitting revenue targets, managing costs, and unlocking every opportunity to grow. All of this sits on a rock-solid foundation of Health & Safety and safeguarding compliance, because when kids and families feel secure, the fun really starts.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the centre day-to-day, keeping cleanliness, safety, and customer service at an excellent standard.
- Be present on the floor as a hands-on leader, coaching and developing the team to create a standout guest experience.
- Own opening and closing procedures, making sure the site is safe, secure, and ready for every session.
- Complete daily End of Day reports covering operations, any incidents, and key highlights or issues.
- Take full ownership of Health & Safety performance and ensure compliance with all legal and internal policies.
- Carry out and record all required daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks without fail.
- Log and manage all accidents, incidents, and safeguarding matters correctly and promptly.
- Manage the centre's P&L: grow income, control spend and hit budgeted targets.
- Track departmental performance and spot opportunities to improve efficiency and results.
- Ensure bookings, payments, and customer records are handled accurately and consistently.
- Champion responsible fun and deliver outstanding service across every area of the centre.
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations in a calm, professional, and solution-focused way.
- Collect and act on customer feedback to continually raise service quality and satisfaction.
