Assistant Manager | High Volume Grab & Go | London |

Salary: Up to £32,500

Are you an experienced Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager or strong Supervisor looking for your next opportunity in a fast-paced, high-volume food environment?

We're working with a well-established and recognised UK Grab & Go brand that is currently going through an exciting period of growth and transformation, with a number of London locations and further plans for the future.

This is a hands-on management role for someone who enjoys being at the heart of the operation. You'll work closely with the General Manager to lead the team, maintain high standards and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Your responsibilities as an Assistant Manager will include:

  • Supporting the General Manager with the day-to-day running of a busy restaurant.
  • Taking ownership of the operation and leading the team during key trading periods and in the General Manager's absence.
  • Being hands-on across both front and back of house, including supporting kitchen operations and food preparation.
  • Leading, coaching and developing team members and future supervisors.
  • Maintaining high standards across food quality, service, cleanliness and food safety.
  • Supporting stock control, stock takes, ordering and waste reduction.
  • Driving speed of service, customer experience and operational standards.
  • Supporting the management team with KPIs, labour and commercial performance.
  • Creating a positive team culture built around strong leadership, teamwork and excellent customer service.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, Shift Manager or strong Supervisor experience within QSR, Grab & Go, fast casual, restaurant, café, bakery or food-to-go environments.
  • A genuinely hands-on operator who is comfortable working in the kitchen as well as leading from the floor.
  • Someone who can confidently run a shift and make decisions independently.
  • Strong people leadership, coaching and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of stock, waste, labour and operational KPIs.
  • A customer-focused leader who naturally creates a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Flexibility to work across a seven-day operation, including evenings, weekends and Sundays.
  • Resilient, adaptable and excited by the opportunity to be part of a business going through change and rebuilding for its next stage of growth.

If you're an experienced food or hospitality operator looking for your next Assistant Manager opportunity in London, and you're looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact, we'd love to hear from you.
