Restaurant General Manager – New Opening
Salary: £43,500 + Service Charge + Bonus of up to 32%

We’re looking for an ambitious and experienced Restaurant General Manager to take the lead on a brand-new opening for an exciting and growing restaurant group.This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on hospitality leader who loves the energy of a busy, casual restaurant environment and knows how to build a strong team from the ground up.If you have new opening experience, enjoy fast-paced service and are passionate about creating great guest experiences while delivering strong commercial results, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role:
- Taking full ownership of the restaurant's P&L and commercial performance
- Managing revenue, labour costs, GP and operating expenses
- Leading the restaurant through its new opening, establishing strong systems, standards and culture from day one
- Recruiting, training and developing a high-performing management and front-line team
- Creating an engaged, motivated and accountable team culture
- Driving an outstanding guest experience throughout every service
- Maintaining consistently high standards across food quality, service, cleanliness and presentation
- Ensuring full compliance with food safety, health & safety and operational procedures
- Managing labour effectively, including rotas, staffing levels and productivity
- Using commercial insight and data to identify opportunities and improve performance
- Working closely with senior leadership to deliver the wider business strategy
- Acting as an ambassador for the brand and bringing its values to life within your restaurant
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a General Manager / Restaurant Manager within a high-volume, quality-led environment
- New opening experience or a strong understanding of launching and establishing a new restaurant
- Experience within casual dining, fast-casual or similarly high-energy restaurant environments
- Strong commercial understanding and confidence managing a P&L
- Experience with labour, budgets, forecasting and cost control
- A proven ability to recruit, develop and retain great people
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to build a genuinely engaged team
- High standards when it comes to guest experience, food safety and operational delivery
