We are working with an award-winning production company based in London. The company is an integrated part of a very established media and production company that specializes in delivering exceptional, impactful, and original content for leading brands and partners.

They are seeking a meticulous and proactive Finance Assistant to support its finance operations. This role covers both purchase and sales ledger responsibilities, including raising and processing invoices, maintaining ledgers, resolving supplier disputes, and ensuring accurate payments and billing. The Finance Assistant will also support the Finance Manager with onboarding new processes, training, and other ad hoc tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable:
    • Manage processing and payment of supplier purchase invoices
    • Ensure accuracy when processing invoices against departments and nominal codes
    • Respond to queries regarding purchases and outward payments
    • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
    • Set up new suppliers in line with established processes
    • Assist in improving supplier processes
    • Maintain and reconcile company credit cards
    • Process and pay employee expenses and floats
  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Raise and maintain client sales invoices
    • Oversee credit control and debtor reporting
    • Perform reconciliations (jobs, bank, petty cash, wage deductions, intercompany)
    • Process and manage employee timesheets, ensuring accuracy
    • Support audits as required
  • General Finance Support:
    • Liaise with internal staff on finance queries and build strong relationships
    • Assist with personnel maintenance and training on finance systems
    • Handle intercompany transactions, fixed assets register, trade debtors and creditors, and recharge postings
    • Provide ad hoc reporting and support to the Finance Manager and wider team
Qualifications and Skills
  • Degree in Maths, Finance, Accounting, or Economics (preferred)
  • Currently studying towards ACCA or CIMAP
  • Prior experience in finance or accounting roles is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
  • Personable and able to work effectively with non-financial colleagues
