A well-known Central London events venue is looking for a bars manager who loves the buzz of big nights and knows how to make the numbers work. You’ll lead a large, energetic team, keep service fast and standards high, and make sure every night delivers on both guest experience and profit.

What you’ll be doing as Bar Manager:

  • Lead a team of 30+ bar staff, hiring, training and getting the best out of them
  • Run multiple bars at once, keeping every one of them sharp at peak trading
  • Stay on top of stock takes, purchasing and supplier relationships
  • Keep GP margins and labour costs where they should be
  • Help shape the bar operation as it grows, with more bars planned

When you’ll be working:

Thursdays to Saturdays, with a mix of days and nights depending on the events calendar. Expect 3 night shifts and 1-2 day shifts, with some trading running until 6am, in a 40-48 hour week.

You’re our person if you...

  • Are a GM, Deputy GM or AGM at a large hospitality company, or at a similar level
  • Have run several bars at the same time, whether in a venue, at events or across a group
  • Have led a team of 30+ and enjoy developing people
  • Know your stock, procurement, GP and labour costs inside out
  • Stay calm and in control when it’s rammed
  • Are proactive, commercially switched on, and happy to take ownership
  • Have festival or large-scale event experience, which is a big plus, especially with lots of bars running at once
