Assistant Learning and Development Director – Luxury London Hotel Location: London | Full-time, office-based Salary: Up to £65,000 + bonus An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant L&D Director to join a prestigious London hotel and play a key role in shaping the learning, development and talent agenda across the property. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced Learning & Development professional who is passionate about creating exceptional people experiences and building a strong culture of learning, performance and progression. Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will support the delivery of the hotel's overall L&D strategy, working closely with department heads and managers to identify development needs and deliver impactful learning initiatives. Supporting the design and implementation of the hotel's L&D strategy and annual training plan. Leading and developing a high-performing L&D function. Partnering with department heads to identify skills gaps and development priorities. Designing and delivering engaging training programmes across all levels of the hotel. Supporting leadership development, talent management and succession planning. Driving a culture of continuous learning, coaching and feedback. Monitoring training effectiveness, engagement and ROI, using data and feedback to continually improve programmes. Supporting compliance, mandatory training and relevant industry standards. Building strong relationships with external training providers and partners. Championing the hotel's values and ensuring they are embedded throughout the colleague journey. We're looking for an experienced L&D professional with a strong background in luxury, upscale or high-volume hospitality, ideally within a hotel environment. Proven experience in a senior L&D, Learning Manager or Assistant L&D Director role. Strong knowledge of learning strategy, talent development and leadership programmes. A proactive, creative and commercially minded approach to L&D. Strong organisational and project management skills. A genuine passion for developing people and creating a positive workplace culture.
