Our client is a multi-site, multi-brand hospitality and foodservice group, including franchised operations, entering a pivotal phase of its growth. They are looking for a Management Accountant to join a small central finance team, reporting to a Director and supported by an external accountant.
Your role is based on-site during the probation period, but is open to hybrid work after an initial 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, across multiple entities
- Produce site and brand-level P&L packs with variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year
- Own weekly and monthly KPI reporting, including sales mix, labour %, food cost % and EBITDA by site
- Monitor cash and working capital, including weekly cash forecasting, settlements, supplier terms, VAT and PAYE
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, debtor/creditor reviews and intercompany accounting
- Support budgeting and rolling forecasts across sales, labour, food, overheads and capex
- Track royalty, marketing levy and franchise fee obligations by brand
- Maintain month-end processes and work with the external accountant and auditors to keep files audit-ready
- Improve the flow of data from POS to the ledger and automate routine reporting
Key Skills
- Multi-site hospitality experience is essential; experience in a multi-brand or franchised environment is a strong advantage
- ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified, or part-qualified with strong experience
- Proven month-end, reconciliation and management reporting experience
- Strong Excel skills, with experience of POS data and ERP or consolidation tools
- Comfortable working in high-volume, low-margin trading models
- Able to turn numbers into clear actions for site and operations teams
- Hands‑on and organised, comfortable working with a Director and an external accountant
