Job Description
We are working with a well-established and dynamic leisure business based in Great Yarmouth, currently seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Manager with additional responsibility for administrative and office management duties.
This is not your typical Monday to Friday role, the successful candidate must be flexible and available to work weekends, especially during the peak season. In return, you’ll be joining a vibrant, people-focused business where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the health & safety policy, ensuring full compliance across the business
- Regularly review, update, and maintain the health & safety folder and associated documentation
- Monitor and implement changes in legislation, ensuring the company remains fully compliant at all times
- Develop and introduce new health and safety procedures where required, ensuring they are relevant, practical, and clearly communicated
- Work closely with the Managing Director for sign-off and strategic input on all health & safety matters
- Provide general office management and administrative support, helping to maintain smooth day-to-day operations
Ideal Candidate:
- Must have extensive experience in health and safety, ideally within leisure, hospitality, or a similar fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of current UK health & safety legislation and best practices
- Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail
- Comfortable working flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage staff at all levels
