A rapidly growing organisation operating across the commercial kitchen and hospitality infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Operation Analyst. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key finance operations, working closely with the finance team to strengthen and streamline both AP and AR processes as the company continues to grow. The Finance Operation Analyst will play an integral part in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of the financial operations. The ideal candidate will be hands-on and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Own the purchase order (PO) management process, supporting operations with PO creation and queries.
  • Collaborate with the offshore accounts team to manage supplier invoice processing and resolve related issues.
  • Maintain and oversee supplier payment plans, tracking balances and ensuring schedules remain current.
  • Manage the creditor inbox, ensuring supplier communications are handled promptly and professionally.
  • Support month-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely submission of financial information.
  • Assist with aged payables reconciliations, reviewing balances and supporting documentation.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Take responsibility for invoicing processes, including preparation and issuance of monthly Licence Fee and Variable Fee invoices for review by the Finance Manager.
    • Prepare and issue ad hoc invoices in response to internal requests from Sales and Operations.
    • Manage the credit control function, proactively chasing overdue debtors and collaborating with Account Management and the Senior Finance Manager to resolve queries.
    • Participate in weekly meetings and coordinate responses to customer invoice queries.
    • Record, allocate, and reconcile customer cash receipts to ensure ledger accuracy.
    • Oversee the AR inbox, maintaining consistent, professional communication with customers regarding billing and payments.
    • Support cashflow forecasting and month-end reconciliations, providing input as needed.

    Candidate Profile

    • Fully qualified AAT or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
    • Minimum 4 years of Accounts Payable experience, including supplier management and negotiation (essential).
    • Previous involvement in Accounts Receivable activities.
    • Proven background in a fast-paced, start-up or multi-site environment (preferred).
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
    • Strong organisation, communication, and time management skills.
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to improve processes and ensure accuracy across reporting.
