A dynamic, fast-paced multi-site hospitality business with a strong presence across the UK is seeking an Employee Relations (ER) Specialist to join our People team, based in London and supporting managers across multiple retail locations. This is a hands-on role where you will act as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing expert guidance on all aspects of employee relations in a commercial hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a full range of ER cases including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, absence, and investigations.
- Provide clear, pragmatic advice to line managers in line with UK employment law and company policy.
- Support complex and high-risk cases through to resolution.
- Coach and upskill managers to improve confidence and capability in ER matters.
- Ensure consistent and fair application of policies across all sites.
- Identify trends and risks, providing recommendations to reduce ER issues.
- Support change initiatives, including restructures and TUPE where required.
Experience:
- Proven experience in an ER focused role, ideally within retail, hospitality, or another fast-paced, multi-site environment.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law.
- Confident advising and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Able to manage high case volumes while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Pragmatic, commercially minded, and solutions-focused.
- CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) essential.
