I am delighted to be working with this innovative family office to find them an experienced Construction Director to lead the delivery of a UK-wide hotel development and refurbishment programme during a period of significant growth.
About the role
Reporting to the Board, you will oversee the full lifecycle of multiple projects — from feasibility and design to construction, handover and post-completion review — ensuring every development is safe, on time, on budget and aligned with brand standards for leading international hotel partners.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the UK construction strategy, driving delivery of new builds, extensions and refurbishments.
- Oversee project performance, programme management, risk controls and contractor relationships.
- Manage CapEx budgets, cost forecasting and commercial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, CDM 2015, and company governance standards.
- Build, manage and mentor a high-performing construction team.
- Integrate sustainability, energy efficiency and ESG best practice into all projects.
In your locker
- Minimum 7 years' senior construction leadership experience.
- Proven track record delivering multi-site hospitality or hotel projects.
- Exposure to working with Brand Partner such as Hilton / Marriott / IHG, an advantage.
- Strong commercial, contractual and stakeholder management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of UK planning, building regulations and construction compliance.
- Degree qualification and chartered status (MRICS, MCIOB or equivalent) advantageous.
This is a hands-on strategic leadership role, ideal for someone decisive, commercially astute and ready to shape a growing hotel development portfolio.
