The Head of Maintenance will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of all venues, ensuring facilities are fully operational, safe, and compliant. This includes managing day-to-day maintenance issues, coordinating with external contractors, and implementing systems to maintain high standards across the venues. You will be responsible for both building fabric and equipment and will need to build relationships with key specialist suppliers and contractors.
The very exciting thing about this role is being able to make your mark on it. You will be able to recommend and roll-out a CAFM system for the business and ensure that it is utilised to its full extent.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee all venue maintenance needs, both reactive and preventative.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from venue teams.
- Diagnose, prioritise, and resolve issues to minimise downtime.
- Maintain and update maintenance schedules and logs.
- Lead small-scale maintenance and refurbishment projects.
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors and tradespeople.
- Ensure works are completed on time, within budget, and to high standards.
- Manage tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
- Monitor condition of critical infrastructure (e.g., HVAC, kitchen equipment, lighting).
- Liaise with suppliers for parts and service contracts.
- Work closely with venue managers to support operational needs.
- Provide guidance on maintenance best practices and equipment use.
- Support the opening of new sites with fit-out and setup support.
