We’re partnering with a consultancy delivering a large-scale transformation programme across a complex financial services environment. This is a high-profile leadership role within a large-scale Core Banking Transformation programme, focused on ensuring the business is operationally ready for go-live through robust User Acceptance Testing and business readiness governance. The programme is moving at pace and requires someone who can bring structure, confidence, and calm leadership across a complex stakeholder landscape.
This is not a traditional “hands-off” UAT role. You’ll be accountable for shaping the UAT strategy, leading large matrix teams, influencing senior stakeholders, and helping drive evidence-based go-live decisions across critical customer and operational journeys.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Defining and owning the UAT strategy, operating model, governance, and exit criteria
- Leading a large matrix testing function comprising internal SMEs, operational colleagues, and third-party partners
- Driving end-to-end validation of critical customer journeys, operational processes, and failure scenarios
- Managing defect triage, escalation routes, risk management, and readiness reporting
- Working closely with operational readiness, programme leadership, technology, and SI partners
- Supporting a major transformation programme across core financial products, including mortgages and savings
What They’re Looking For
- Proven experience leading UAT within large-scale transformation programmes
- Strong background working within financial services / regulated environments
- Experience across core financial products such as mortgages, savings, lending, or banking platforms
- Experience managing large matrix teams and senior stakeholders in high-pressure environments
- Comfortable operating within complex programmes involving multiple third parties and offshore delivery teams
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge and influence when required
Nice to Have
- Core banking transformation experience
- Exposure to Mambu, Dynamics, or similar modern ecosystems
- Consultancy or enterprise-scale transformation background
Why This Role Stands Out
- Opportunity to leave a genuine legacy on a business-critical programme
- High visibility role with significant influence over operational readiness and go-live success
- Strong blend of strategic leadership and hands-on programme involvement
- Collaborative environment with major investment into transformation and modernisation
Benefits
- £90,000 – £95,000 base salary
- Bonus up to 15%
- Hybrid working
- 30 days holiday + bank holidays
- Private medical insurance
- Strong pension contribution
- Additional flexible benefits package
This role would suit someone who thrives in large-scale transformation environments, enjoys bringing structure to complexity, and can confidently lead teams and stakeholders through critical go-live decisions within regulated financial services environments. Apply if you'd like to be considered.
