Mid-Level Software Engineer (Full Stack)
Up to £50,000 | Hybrid / Remote Flexible
We're working exclusively with a growing, mission-driven SaaS technology business to find two Mid-Level Software Engineers to join their engineering team.
This is a genuine opportunity to join a collaborative, people-first engineering culture at an exciting stage of growth, where your mindset, communication and craft matter just as much as your technical skills.
The Opportunity
You’ll join a flat, well-structured engineering department of 40–50 people where mid and senior engineers sit as equals, and progression routes exist for both technical individual contributors and future team leads.
The business is actively shaping its engineering department, with senior leadership coming in to help define direction, meaning you’ll have real influence on how things are built and how the team works.
One role sits within a team building customer-facing reporting dashboards, helping end users make data-driven decisions and meaningful interventions. The other contributes to external API development for customers.
Both roles sit within a broader cloud-based Azure environment using .NET, Angular and SQL Server.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Contributing to architectural and technical decisions within your domain
- Writing clean, well-tested, maintainable code
- Participating in and improving engineering practices, including code reviews, testing strategies and CI/CD
- Experimenting with AI tooling and helping shape an emerging agentic SDLC workflow
- Working closely with Product, Design and QA to deliver outcomes that genuinely matter
What We’re Looking For
Technically, you’ll bring around 3+ years of professional software development experience and solid exposure to .NET/C# as a minimum.
Full stack experience is ideal, but strong back-end engineers with some front-end exposure will absolutely be considered.
Just as important is how you work. We’re looking for people who:
- Care deeply about code quality, accessibility, responsiveness and thoughtful design
- Are curious and open about AI tooling, with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code and agentic ways of working already on the roadmap
- Can communicate technical concepts clearly and work effectively both independently and with others
- Understand trade-offs, knowing when to optimise, when to ship and when to revisit
- Are self-starters who take initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do
- Are not afraid to challenge best practices and help define new ones
The Package and Culture
- Salary up to £50,000, with some flexibility for the right person
- Hybrid working with no mandate on office attendance. Most people come into the office a couple of times a month, and fully remote is genuinely on the table for the right candidate
- 22 days annual leave, with the option to buy more, plus:
- 3 days company leave over Christmas
- A day off during your birthday month
- Half-day Fridays during summer and winter periods (subject to company performance)
- Parental leave and caregiver support
- A genuine flat structure with clear progression routes, whether you want to grow as a technical individual contributor or move towards team leadership
- A culture that values psychological safety, work-life balance and diversity of perspective
