- Working knowledge of SQL/PostgreSQL for diagnostics and real-time investigations.
- Clear, calm communication style able to collaborate with engineering, product, security and senior stakeholders.
Role Overview
As the UK SRE Manager, you'll lead the reliability and operational maturity of the platform. Key Focus Areas
- End-to-end ownership of UK platform operations β including observability, incident readiness, releases, patching, upgrades and service transitions.
- Lead major incidents with authority, co-ordinating technical response, ensuring rapid restoration, and driving post-incident learning and continuous improvement.
- Define and manage SLAs/SLOs/KRIs, chair operational governance forums, and manage operational relationships with global platform teams and key suppliers.
- Strengthen reliability practices through proactive monitoring, smart alerting, dashboards, capacity/resilience planning and DR/BCP validation.
- Build and lead a high-performing SRE/Platform team, setting culture, standards and engineering excellence.
- Ensure the platform meets UK regulatory and risk expectations, supporting audits and embedding FCA/PRA-aligned operational controls.
