This is a hands-on Senior Data Engineer role for someone who enjoys building things properly. You’ll be joining a growing data team responsible for designing, building, and evolving a cloud-based data platform that supports analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision making across the business. The focus is on robust engineering, scalability, and quality – not throwaway pipelines.
You’ll work with large, complex datasets, shape data models, and help move the platform forward using modern data engineering practices in AWS. There’s also a strong emphasis on ownership, mentoring others, and influencing how data engineering is done going forward.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and building scalable data pipelines and architectures in AWS
- Owning data engineering development and change initiatives end to end
- Developing and maintaining cloud data platforms, data models, and ELT/ETL pipelines
- Working closely with analysts, BI, and wider engineering teams to understand data needs
- Ensuring high standards around data quality, performance, security, and compliance
- Supporting CI/CD for data pipelines and reducing technical debt
This is a role where you’re trusted to make technical decisions, not just take tickets.
