An opportunity to shape the future of Business Intelligence and AI

This is an opportunity to join a well-established UK business at a pivotal point in its technology journey.

With a major enterprise transformation programme underway, you'll play a key role in ensuring critical Business Intelligence capabilities continue to support the business while helping define the next generation of data, analytics and AI.

This isn't a traditional BI role.

Alongside supporting a large-scale ERP transformation, you'll help influence the organisation's future data platform, introduce modern analytics engineering principles and identify practical AI use cases that create real business value.

If you're excited by combining hands-on Business Intelligence with emerging AI technologies, this is an opportunity to make a genuine impact.

The Role

Working within a collaborative Data & BI team, you'll split your time between supporting a major ERP migration and helping shape the organisation's long-term AI and data strategy.

Initially, you'll focus on maintaining reporting capability throughout the ERP programme by building ETL processes, mapping legacy data and delivering dashboards that keep the business running smoothly.

Alongside this, you'll contribute to the evolution of the company's modern data platform, helping introduce semantic modelling, self-service analytics and AI capabilities that will support future business growth.

This is a role offering real ownership, influence and the opportunity to help define how AI is adopted across an enterprise environment.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Build and maintain ETL workflows supporting a large-scale ERP transformation.
  • Map legacy data structures into a new enterprise platform using Alteryx or similar technologies.
  • Develop dashboards and visualisations that provide meaningful business insight.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure reporting remains accurate throughout the transformation.
  • Contribute towards semantic data models that enable self-service analytics and future AI initiatives.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of a modern cloud data platform.
  • Identify opportunities where AI can improve reporting, automation and business processes.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance and wider business teams on strategic data initiatives.
  • Experience building ETL workflows using Alteryx or similar data integration tools.
  • Experience with a modern data visualisation platform such as Tableau, Power BI or Qlik (Tableau preferred).
  • An Analytics Engineering mindset with an understanding of semantic data models and how they support modern reporting and AI.
  • Hands-on experience with Alteryx.
  • Exposure to modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience designing semantic layers or modern analytical data models.
  • Knowledge of medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver and Gold data layers).
  • Exposure to prompt engineering or identifying practical AI use cases within a commercial environment.

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys solving business problems through data rather than simply producing reports.

You're naturally curious about emerging technologies and excited by the possibilities AI presents, but equally comfortable rolling your sleeves up to deliver robust Business Intelligence solutions today.

You’ll enjoy working across both technical and non-technical teams, taking ownership of new initiatives and helping shape how data is used across the organisation.

Why Apply?

  • Be part of one of the organisation's largest technology transformation programmes.
  • Help shape the future AI and data strategy from the ground up.
  • Gain exposure to modern cloud data technologies, semantic modelling and AI integration.
  • Broad role combining Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering and AI innovation.
  • Genuine ownership within a collaborative and highly visible Data team.
  • Flexible hybrid working, with additional flexibility available for candidates based further afield.
  • Annual company and personal performance bonus.
