Cloud Engineer – Leeds / Hybrid (2 days a week in Leeds) – Upto £50K

Join a growing technology services business delivering cloud, security, and digital transformation solutions for clients across the UK and beyond. This is a hands-on role focused on designing, deploying, and supporting secure, scalable cloud infrastructure while ensuring operational excellence.

What you’ll do:

  • Build, deploy, and maintain Azure and hybrid/multi-cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, performance, and reliability.
  • Manage Cloudflare or equivalent platforms, including WAF, CDN, DDoS protection, DNS, Zero Trust, and Anycast networks.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring workflows.
  • Support BAU operations, incident response, root cause analysis, and on-call support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What you need:

  • Hands-on experience with Cloudflare or similar edge networking platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS/PaaS services and Terraform.
  • Experience in hybrid/multi-cloud environments and AWS services.
  • Solid networking understanding: VPNs, DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing.
  • Proficiency in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and observability tools.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and client-facing skills.
  • SC-level UK Government clearance (or ability to obtain).

Desirable:

  • Cloud and DevOps certifications (Azure, AWS, Cloudflare, Terraform).
  • Experience with containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) and cost optimisation (FinOps).
