Ready to combine technical expertise with real commercial impact? Join a global fintech platform redefining how millions of people shop, pay and manage their finances. This is not a traditional accounting role. Finance sits at the centre of the business, working alongside product, commercial and technology teams to shape how new financial products are launched, how complex transactions are structured, and how a fast‑scaling, regulated fintech operates at global scale.
For someone who enjoys solving complex accounting challenges while influencing real business decisions, this is a rare opportunity to step into a genuinely high‑impact role.
What You’ll Do
- Own complex, high‑impact accounting decisions, leading the analysis of non‑routine transactions and shaping how they are recognised, reported and understood across the business.
- Operate as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, working closely with the CFO, CAO and wider leadership team to guide decision‑making on complex accounting and commercial matters.
- Shape the accounting for new products and strategic initiatives, partnering with product, commercial and finance teams to assess how evolving business models translate into accounting outcomes.
- Lead deep technical work across key IFRS areas, including financial instruments, revenue recognition, securitisations, leases, impairments, business combinations and share‑based payments.
- Navigate ambiguity with confidence, applying judgement where guidance isn’t always clear and building robust, defensible accounting positions.
- Translate technical complexity into clear business insight, producing high‑quality accounting papers and communicating clearly to both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
- Drive accounting policy and IFRS implementation, owning the impact assessment and rollout of new standards across a global organisation.
- Play a key role in financial reporting and audit, supporting disclosures, working closely with auditors, and ensuring strong reporting integrity.
- Improve how finance operates at scale, leading initiatives to enhance processes, controls and technical capability as the business continues to grow.
- Develop others and build capability, acting as a technical leader across the organisation, raising the bar on accounting knowledge and application.
What You’ll Bring
- Technical depth: 7+ years in technical accounting or advisory with strong IFRS expertise. Big 4 background highly regarded.
- Qualified accountant: ACA / ACCA or equivalent.
- Commercial awareness: Ability to understand and influence the financial impact of business decisions.
- Problem‑solving mindset: Comfortable dealing with complexity, ambiguity and non‑standard transactions.
- Strong communication: Able to bridge the gap between technical accounting and commercial teams.
- Drive and ownership: Proactive, hands‑on and motivated to improve how things are done.
Why Join?
- Be part of a high‑growth fintech operating at global scale.
- Work directly with senior leadership on complex, high‑value decisions.
- Gain exposure to a wide range of technical and commercial challenges.
- Develop in an environment that values speed, ownership and impact.
