Core3 is working with a well-established professional services firm to recruit a Senior Credit Controller. This is a key position within the finance function, combining hands-on working capital management with leadership responsibility. This business places real value on strong financial control and high-quality client service.
As a Senior Credit Controller, you'll work closely with Partners and senior stakeholders, helping improve cash performance while leading and developing a team. You'll play a visible role in strengthening processes and driving better commercial outcomes.
How you'll make an impact- Take ownership of working capital across assigned departments and key clients
- Partner with stakeholders to reduce debt, WIP, and overall exposure
- Lead review meetings on complex matters, providing clear direction and challenge
- Oversee the billing cycle, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and cash collection
- Act as a senior point of expertise on revenue control and billing issues
- Ensure adherence to policies, including discounts and write-offs
- Identify and implement improvements to billing processes and systems
- Manage, coach, and develop Revenue Controllers and Billing Assistants
- Handle escalations and resolve complex or sensitive client issues
- Strong experience in revenue control, credit control, and cash collection
- Background in a professional services environment
- Confident working with senior stakeholders, including Partners
- Experience managing complex client portfolios
- Proven ability to lead, support, or mentor team members
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Proactive mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong Excel capability
- Experience within a legal or partnership environment
