Core3 is delighted to be partnering with a purpose-driven organisation on a retained basis to recruit a Financial Controller. Our client is a purpose-driven organisation with a strong community focus and a clear commitment to doing the right thing. They combine commercial thinking with social impact, creating a culture built on trust, collaboration, and accountability. This Financial Controller role offers real visibility and influence, working closely with senior stakeholders in a Bristol-based hybrid environment. You'll join a team that values clarity, sound judgement, and continuous improvement.

How you'll make an impact

  • Lead financial control across a multi-entity structure, strengthening processes and reducing risk
  • Deliver accurate monthly management accounts with clear insight and commentary
  • Own the year-end process, including statutory accounts and audit delivery
  • Partner with senior leaders to support budgeting and forecasting decisions
  • Build and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts to support financial resilience
  • Improve financial controls, policies, and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide clear reporting to leadership, board, and external stakeholders
  • Support funder reporting with accurate, timely financial information
  • Develop a responsive, well-structured finance function
  • Lead, coach, and develop the finance team

Why you're a great fit

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Strong background in management accounts, statutory accounts, and financial reporting
  • Experience working in a multi-entity or group structure
  • Understanding of charity accounting and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with cloud-based finance systems
  • Track record of leading and developing finance teams
  • Experience working with external funders or grant reporting
