Core3 are delighted to partner with a leading international legal business to recruit a Billing Supervisor, focused on e billing. This is a mainly remote role, linked to either Birmingham or Newport for occasional travel when required, paying £37,000.
This is a high profile billing function within a well established, fast growing international legal business. The team has had a lot of new starters since September, so they need a calm, experienced lead who can bring structure, confidence and momentum to the e billing side, and make a visible impact quickly.
You will get genuine flexibility, strong benefits, and the chance to work with a business that actively promotes inclusive working and ESG initiatives.
How you\\\’ll make an impact
You will be the go to e billing lead within the billing team, overseeing day to day e billing activity and supporting the Billing Manager with process improvements and system initiatives.
Key areas include:
- Leading and supporting the billing team on e billing workflows, including coaching, training, monthly reviews and helping newer team members get up to speed.
- Owning e billing portal onboarding for new clients, ensuring the setup is right first time and aligned to client specific requirements.
- Overseeing accurate, timely invoice submission, managing rejections, appeals and resubmissions within agreed SLAs.
- Maintaining data integrity across billing, including rates, references, matter details and portal rules.
- Acting as an escalation point for complex billing issues, working with senior stakeholders to resolve problems quickly.
- Managing your own technical ledger as a hands on example, covering complex billing arrangements and delivery requirements.
- Driving efficiency and accuracy, spotting recurring issues, tightening controls, and improving the team\\\’s ways of working.
Why our client is excited about you
They are looking for someone who can handle a fast paced, high volume billing environment and bring a calm, organised approach when multiple issues land at once.
They will value:
- Strong experience across e billing portals and client onboarding, plus confidence owning rejections end to end.
- High volume billing exposure, ideally within legal or wider professional services.
- The ability to coach, mentor and support a developing team. Formal supervisory experience is ideal, but they will also consider someone who has led training, acted as an escalation point, or supported onboarding of new starters.
- Excellent attention to detail and a right first time mindset.
- Strong stakeholder management, you can communicate clearly with fee earners and internal teams.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and comfort working across billing systems.
Desirable, not essential:
- Experience with Elite 3E, Paperless Proforma, and EBH.
What you\\\’ll get in return
Alongside the £37,000 salary, the business offers:
- A mainly remote setup with travel into Birmingham or Newport only when needed.
- Strong benefits package (including private medical insurance, income protection, and discounted gym membership).
- Funding and support for professional development.
- Flex Forward approach to flexible working.
- Opportunities to get involved in ESG and wider firm initiatives.
- Inclusive, supportive culture with clear values and a strong focus on doing things properly.
We invite applications from all qualified candidates who believe they meet the requirements of the role, whilst supporting and promoting equality and diversity to create an inclusive working environment for all.
