Core3 is supporting the recruitment of an Assistant Management Accountant for an established, growing organisation. Our client operates within a complex, multi-entity environment and is continuing to strengthen its finance function through process improvement and better use of systems. Based in North West Bristol, this Assistant Management Accountant role offers exposure to group reporting and collaboration.

How you'll make an impact

  • Deliver accurate and timely month-end close in line with group reporting deadlines
  • Prepare and post journals to support financial accounting and management accounts
  • Review sub-ledger activity and work closely with offshore teams to maintain quality
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
  • Support the production of management accounts and month-end reporting packs
  • Maintain strong financial control across core accounting processes
  • Partner with stakeholders to respond to queries and improve reporting clarity
  • Support bank reconciliations and wider transactional accounting activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across record-to-report processes
  • Strengthen documentation and support audit and governance requirements

  • Strong understanding of month-end close, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Experience supporting management accounts preparation
  • Confident using Excel and working with finance systems
  • Able to manage deadlines and deliver accurate work in a structured environment
  • Clear communicator, comfortable working with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience in a multi-entity or group environment
  • Exposure to working with offshore or shared service teams
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or similar
  • Interest in improving processes and strengthening financial control
