Core3 are delighted to partner with a leading international legal business to recruit a fully remote Billing Assistant opportunity with a strong eBilling focus on a 12 month fixed term contract. Salary is up to Β£35,000. This is a fully remote role aligned to either the Newport or Birmingham office. You will be joining a large, well established legal business with a strong reputation, a supportive finance structure, and a flexible working approach. How you'll make an impact
- Working as part of the Billing team, you will take ownership of billing and eBilling for a key client portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and fast query resolution.
- A typical day will include:
- Responsibility for billing across specific service lines and clients
- Submitting invoices via client portals and managing outcomes including rejections, appeals and resubmissions
- Liaising with partners, lawyers, and stakeholders to resolve billing queries and keep work moving
- Updating and amending matter and file data to ensure correct billing, including sourcing missing data
- Processing high volumes of invoices and proformas, plus credit notes, reversals, and amendments
- Preparing Excel bill schedules, bordereaux and supporting documentation
- Investigating errors against billing guides to ensure compliance with client protocols, VAT and templates
- Handling confidential information in line with data security protocols
This is a fully remote role with flexibility to structure your day within core hours of 8am to 6pm. You must be able to attend your aligned office (Newport or Birmingham) when requested, with hub days typically twice per year.

- LegalX experience (highly desirable due to client requirements)
- Experience across multiple eBilling portals and platforms
- Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules and VAT in a legal billing environment
- Experience with 3E and Paperless, or similar legal finance systems
