We're partnering with a fast-growing, productâled fintech building regulated financial products at serious scale. This is not a boxâticking accounting role. It's a chance to sit close to decisionâmaking, work in ambiguity, and help shape how a modern finance function actually runs.
You'll be joining a lean, highâcalibre accounting team, reporting into a senior finance leader who values judgement, pace, and ownership over process theatre.
The role
You'll take ownership of key areas of the monthâend close and reporting cycle, while working closely with Product, Ops, and Tech to make sure the numbers reflect reality, not just theory. This is a handsâon role in a business that moves quickly. Priorities shift. Questions get asked. You'll be expected to think, not just execute.
This is perfect for someone looking to take their first step out of practice into a fastâpaced growth environment or someone who has already taken their first step into industry and looking for a further challenge.
What you'll be doing
- Owning elements of the monthâend close endâtoâend in a fastâmoving environment
- Preparing technical accounting positions and supporting audit conversations
- Working through complex accounting areas where judgement matters, not just precedent
- Improving processes as you go. Not waiting for a "transformation project"
- Acting as a trusted point of contact within a wider crossâfunctional business
What we're looking for
- Background in audit (Big 4 / Top 10) and/or industry within fintech, payments, SaaS, or a listed group
- Strong IFRS fundamentals and curiosity to go deeper
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and pushing back when something doesnât make sense
- Someone who wants responsibility and exposure, not just a safe next step
What this isnât
- Not a heavily layered corporate environment
- Not a place to hide behind process
This is for someone who wants to grow, be stretched, and build real judgement early in their career.
Package
- Competitive base salary (up to c. ÂŁ78,000)
- Bonus and benefits
- Hybrid working (Londonâbased)
If you're an ambitious accountant who enjoys pace, ownership, and being close to the action, this will be worth a conversation.
