Core3 are delighted to be partnering with a large international organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant into their Bristol finance hub. This role sits within a centralised accounting function supporting multiple countries and business units around the world and offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their technical capability in a complex, global environment. You'll be joining a high‐performing team that plays a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting and ensuring the consistency of accounting processes across the group. The organisation places significant investment into its finance operations, with a strong focus on quality, process improvement and global standardisation.
This role suits an ambitious part‐qualified or nearly qualified accountant who enjoys working with detail, understands how processes fit together, and partners with offshore teams to deliver high‐quality outputs.
How you'll make an impact
As Financial Accountant, you will support month‐end activities, review outputs from offshore colleagues, and take responsibility for a range of accounting processes across general ledger, intercompany, fixed assets, and cash management. You will also work closely with Financial Control, auditors, and finance leaders across multiple regions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing journals and accounting entries in line with month‐end timetables
- Completing reconciliations across intercompany, fixed assets, balance sheet items and bank accounts
- Reviewing work delivered by offshore teams and ensuring high levels of accuracy and timeliness
- Producing initial P and L reviews and highlighting potential issues or anomalies
- Ensuring balance sheet integrity and escalating judgemental items promptly
- Supporting process documentation and ensuring consistency with global accounting standards
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and support the move toward global standardisation
- Working with Financial Control, Group Finance and auditors to provide information and explanations when required

You will also bring:
- Solid experience in an accounting role, ideally within a large or multinational organisation
- Strong Excel skills and confidence reviewing reconciliations and producing calculations
- Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP or similar
- Ability to analyse data, question anomalies and suggest improvements
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good organisational ability and the confidence to manage your workload across competing deadlines
- Progress toward a professional qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent with no more than four exams remaining
What you'll get in return
£40,000 to £45,000 basic salary
