Core3 are delighted to partner with a leading international legal business to recruit a Billing Supervisor, focused on e billing. This is a mainly remote role, linked to either Birmingham or Newport for occasional travel when required, paying £37,000. This is a high profile billing function within a well established, fast growing international legal business. The team has had a lot of new starters since September, so they need a calm, experienced lead who can bring structure, confidence and momentum to the e billing side, and make a visible impact quickly.

How you’ll make an impact:- You will be the go to e billing lead within the billing team, overseeing day to day e billing activity and supporting the Billing Manager with process improvements and system initiatives.
- Leading and supporting the billing team on e billing workflows, including coaching, training, monthly reviews and helping newer team members get up to speed.
- Owning e billing portal onboarding for new clients, ensuring the setup is right first time and aligned to client specific requirements.
- Overseeing accurate, timely invoice submission, managing rejections, appeals and resubmissions within agreed SLAs.
- Maintaining data integrity across billing, including rates, references, matter details and portal rules.
- Acting as an escalation point for complex billing issues, working with senior stakeholders to resolve problems quickly.
- Managing your own technical ledger as a hands on example, covering complex billing arrangements and delivery requirements.
- Driving efficiency and accuracy, spotting recurring issues, tightening controls, and improving the team’s ways of working.
- They are looking for someone who can handle a fast paced, high volume billing environment and bring a calm, organised approach when multiple issues land at once.
- Strong experience across e billing portals and client onboarding, plus confidence owning rejections end to end.
- High volume billing exposure, ideally within legal or wider professional services.
- The ability to coach, mentor and support a developing team. Formal supervisory experience is ideal, but they will also consider someone who has led training, acted as an escalation point, or supported onboarding of new starters.
- Excellent attention to detail and a right first time mindset.
- Strong stakeholder management, you can communicate clearly with fee earners and internal teams.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and comfort working across billing systems.
- Desirable, not essential: Experience with Elite 3E, Paperless Proforma, and EBH.
- Alongside the £37,000 salary, the business offers a mainly remote setup with travel into Birmingham or Newport only when needed.
