We are supporting a growing UK main contractor delivering projects across infrastructure, energy and building sectors who are looking to appoint a commercially strong Senior Quantity Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and rapidly expanding business where the right individual will have genuine opportunity for progression and increased responsibility as the company continues to grow.

The role would suit an experienced Senior QS — or a strong Quantity Surveyor ready to step up — who is comfortable operating independently, managing client and subcontractor relationships and taking ownership of the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through delivery. Projects are multi-disciplinary in nature and include Civils, Construction, Building Fabric, Solar and M&E packages.

Key responsibilities include:

  • upstream and downstream contract management
  • commercial reporting and valuations
  • subcontractor management
  • client meetings and relationship management
  • supporting Assistant QS resource
  • working closely with estimating and operational teams

Requirements:

  • main contractor experience essential
  • strong commercial and contractual knowledge
  • comfortable travelling to projects across Scotland and England
  • able to work 3 days per week from the Glasgow office
  • M&E measurement exposure beneficial but not essential
