We are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead the mechanical package on a major £20 million manufacturing facility project in Oxfordshire. The role is site-based full-time and covers the project from pre-construction through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the sole mechanical lead on site, reporting to the Project Director
- Oversee the full mechanical scope, including HVAC, compressed air systems, and general building services
- Lead planning, programming, and delivery of all mechanical works
- Coordinate with design, commercial, and construction teams
- Drive progress on site and manage all reporting lines into the mechanical function
- Oversee procurement and manage subcontractors
- Ensure adherence to budget, programme, and quality standards
- Represent the mechanical team in all key project meetings
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager on large-scale mechanical projects
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems in manufacturing or industrial settings
- Commercially astute with experience in budgeting, procurement, and cost control
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Confident driving programme and managing teams through all phases of delivery
