The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary design team, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical building services designs from concept through to completion. You'll be involved in a wide variety of projects, including hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and other highly regulated environments.

This is a hybrid role, with two days per week in the Bolton office and the remainder working from home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design mechanical building services systems including HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation and domestic water services.
  • Produce design calculations, specifications, reports and technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers, architects and project teams to deliver coordinated designs.
  • Attend client and design team meetings.
  • Support projects through all RIBA stages from concept to completion.
  • Ensure designs comply with current regulations and industry standards.
  • Assist with site inspections and technical support during construction where required.
About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within Building Services.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building services design.
  • Experience working on healthcare, pharmaceutical, laboratory or other technically complex environments would be highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency with industry design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and relevant calculation packages.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • Working towards or already achieved Chartered status (desirable but not essential).
