Key Responsibilities- Design and develop electronic systems from initial concept through to production
- Provide technical expertise across all areas of electronics engineering
- Analyse and validate electronic circuits
- Define and generate system requirements
- Produce and review schematics and designs
- Support and review PCB layout activities
- Select, evaluate, and approve components
- Contribute to a variety of engineering tasks across projects and programmes
- Participate in internal and client‑facing technical meetings
- Engage with customers on both technical and project‑related matters
- Ensure all work is documented in accordance with internal procedures
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Proven experience in electronic design, ideally within a regulated or high-reliability environment
- Strong analogue circuit design and simulation capability
- Experience with communication protocols such as RS485, I2C, and SPI
- Familiarity with schematic capture and design review processes
- Understanding of PCB layout and design oversight
- Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and techniques
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload
- Effective communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Collaborative, adaptable, and proactive approach to problem‑solving
- Experience with EMC design principles
- Experience using Altium Designer
- Background in defence, aerospace, or other high-reliability sectors
