The Role
As Environmental and Sustainability Manager, you will play a key strategic and hands-on role in embedding sustainability throughout the business. Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll lead environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement programs across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company’s environmental and sustainability strategy.
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permits, and reporting requirements.
- Lead internal audits and manage external environmental assessments.
- Drive resource efficiency initiatives (energy, water, waste, emissions).
- Collaborate with operations, R&D, and supply chain teams to improve sustainability performance.
- Work with Commercial & Marketing to create customer engagement.
- Prepare sustainability reports and maintain environmental KPIs.
- Support employee engagement and training on environmental best practices.
- Monitor emerging regulations, industry trends, and innovations.
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years plus experience in an environmental/sustainability role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, ISO 14001, and sustainability frameworks.
- Project management experience with the ability to lead change across teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field.
