We're seeking an innovative and dedicated Electrical Design Engineer to join an established team within a leading company in critical infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional who is passionate about data centre infrastructure, knowledgeable about emerging trends, and ready to implement advanced technologies in complex environments. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in shaping the electrical design solutions for critical infrastructure projects, solving complex technical challenges, and defining project scopes and technical documentation. You'll work closely with the design team to support on-site delivery, from audits and surveys to commissioning and final handover. Your insights will also guide technical decisions on behalf of clients, ensuring optimal solutions that meet industry standards and client requirements. What you'll do: Develop technical performance specifications, designs, drawings, equipment schedules, and reports. Define and address client needs with a strategic approach. Lead discrimination, selectivity, and cable selection processes. Design and select electrical components and systems aligned with industry standards. Contribute to tendering documents, including performance and quality assessments. Analyse tenders and support the development of cost plans and timelines. Manage RFIs, design submissions, and conduct site audits, SPoF analysis, and condition reports. Develop concept designs and supervise commissioning tests (IST). Stay updated on international industry trends, conducting research and applying knowledge. Support and train other engineering personnel. Engage in European travel as needed. What you bring: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in Electrical Design. Proven experience in developing and preparing designs, client briefs, and performance-related documentation. Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems and power component operations. Proficiency with LV Electrical circuit arrangements, protection systems, and CAD drafting.
