We’re working in partnership with a leading Tier One MEP contractor that is recognised for delivering high-profile, technically complex infrastructure and mission critical projects across the UK and Europe. The company is experiencing a period of sustained growth, driven by major project wins and increasing demand across core sectors. The Role

As MEP Commercial Manager, you will lead the commercial delivery of large-scale MEP packages across complex projects including data centres, transport infrastructure, and high-spec industrial environments. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will be a key member of the leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and ensuring commercial excellence across the board.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commercial team, overseeing commercial delivery of MEP packages from pre-construction to final account
  • Lead contract negotiations, procurement, cost planning, and value engineering processes
  • Provide commercial leadership across multiple live projects
  • Manage and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures
  • Interface with project managers, engineers, and external stakeholders
  • Prepare detailed reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for the senior leadership team
  • Contribute to business growth strategy, identifying commercial risks and opportunities

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in MEP or building services environments, ideally on major infrastructure or mission critical projects
  • Proven track record in commercial management within a Tier One contractor or large-scale MEP contractor
  • Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract (NEC/JCT)
  • Experience managing large commercial teams and complex subcontract packages
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Preferred - Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline
