About The Role

Are you a driven and results-oriented professional with a passion for business development? Do you excel at building strong client relationships and identifying growth opportunities? We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team and drive commercial success! As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities, managing client relationships, and ensuring the commercial performance of assigned accounts. This is a national role, offering flexibility with travel and home working. A company car or car allowance is provided.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

  • Lead and manage new sales opportunities by conducting market research, identifying potential clients, and developing a robust sales pipeline.
  • Develop tailored proposals, contribute to bid and tender processes, and lead contract negotiations to secure new business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring excellent account management and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor sales data and market trends to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Marketing, Finance, and Legal, to support business development initiatives and enhance sales strategies.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular performance reports to drive data-driven decision-making.

About You

  • Proven track record in new business development and account management.
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Experience in bid and tender management, with a history of securing successful deals.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems to track and manage sales activities.

Essential:

  • Experience within sales/commercial healthcare.

Desirable:

  • Clinical background.
  • Homecare experience.
  • Cancer services experience.
  • Private healthcare experience.

This specific role will initially focus on Cancer and Private Services, but it is not bespoke—meaning you may work across other commercial areas as needed to support flexibility within the sales team.
