We’re looking for a proactive and hands‑on Health & Safety Manager who can support the delivery of our safety strategy across multiple sites. Working closely with the Senior Health & Safety Manager, you’ll help implement action plans, maintain policies and risk assessments, carry out audits, and support incident investigation processes to ensure we meet our regulatory obligations and keep our colleagues safe. This is a practical, varied role where you’ll be involved in everything from on‑site safety checks and training support to maintaining our incident reporting systems and monitoring compliance. You’ll help embed a safety‑first culture, build strong relationships across teams, and contribute to continuous improvement across the organisation.
The ideal candidate will be able to commute to either our Coventry and Derby sites and be comfortable travelling to sites in our northern region.
About You
You’re an enthusiastic and committed Health & Safety professional ready to grow your skills and take on more responsibility. You work well with people, have strong attention to detail, and enjoy ensuring safe, compliant working environments. You’re proactive, solutions‑focused, and confident supporting a busy, fast‑paced operation. You will bring:
- NEBOSH certification and ideally a relevant degree or Level 5 qualification.
- Practical experience in Health & Safety, ideally within a regulated, operational, or multi‑site environment.
- Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and standards, including HSE and CQC requirements.
- Ability to carry out risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident analysis.
- Good communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues at all levels.
- Attention to detail, strong organisation skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Experience supporting training, inductions, and compliance monitoring.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to influence, guide, and encourage safe working behaviours.
- Willingness to travel to sites as required.
