Location: Plumstead, South East London

Salary: Scale 3 - £7,140 Actual (£16.13 per hour)

Job Type: 10 hours per week, term time only plus 1 week (39 weeks per year), Permanent

Working Hours: 12:15pm - 2:15pm, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor students across the site during lunch time, ensuring timely transition to lessons
  • Understand and implement the school's Behaviour Policy issuing rewards and sanctions as appropriate
  • Support staff in implementing a restorative approach in promoting positive behaviour for learning
  • Carry out First Aid duties (training will be provided)
  • Support student prefects and ambassadors in carrying out their roles

Qualifications:

  • You should have level 2 qualifications or equivalent in English and Maths
  • You’ll need previous experience of working with children and young people
  • You should also have a commitment to the school's Equal Opportunities Policy
  • Experience in a secondary school or youth work setting is desirable
