A leading UK construction workforce solutions provider is seeking an experienced recruitment or labour management professional ready to take ownership of one of the largest construction accounts in the region. This is a rare opportunity to lead, manage and grow a major account from within the client’s offices—acting as the onsite expert for all labour supply and workforce management needs.
We’re looking for a highly organised, relationship-focused Recruitment / Labour Manager to oversee a high-volume construction desk supplying up to 200 operatives at any given time. You will be the primary point of contact onsite, ensuring the client receives exceptional service, reliable staffing, and proactive workforce planning. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and enjoys building strong partnerships with both clients and operatives.
Responsibilities:- Oversee the full labour supply process for a major construction account.
- Maintain and manage a workforce of up to 200 operatives, including labourers, storemen, fire cladders, and other key site personnel.
- Work onsite direct at the client’s office as the dedicated contact for all recruitment and labour coordination.
- Handle compliance, right-to-work checks, onboarding, timesheets, and daily workforce allocations.
- Anticipate labour requirements and proactively build a strong pipeline of suitable candidates.
- Foster solid relationships with operational teams and site managers.
- Experience in construction recruitment, labour management, or onsite workforce coordination.
- Confident relationship-builder comfortable working closely with site and project teams.
- Strong organisation and multitasking skills with the ability to manage high-volume requirements.
