This role focuses on strengthening project execution across large capital programmes by enhancing delivery practices, introducing smarter ways of working and embedding modern tools that support better outcomes on major projects. You will work closely with project directors, engineering leaders and programme teams to implement improvements that increase delivery certainty, strengthen collaboration and drive measurable improvements in project performance.
This opportunity is best suited to someone who has developed their career within Tier-1 contractors, infrastructure organisations or programme management consultancies, and has been directly involved in improving delivery performance across large projects.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead initiatives that improve how large infrastructure projects are planned, coordinated and delivered.
- Introduce enhanced delivery frameworks, processes and supporting tools across project teams.
- Work closely with programme directors and engineering leaders to embed improved execution practices across active projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve coordination between planning, engineering, construction and project controls.
- Support the rollout of digital delivery capabilities that enhance project visibility and decision making.
- Establish performance metrics that provide clear insight into schedule reliability, cost performance and project risk.
- Provide structured updates to senior leadership on delivery improvements and programme performance.
Background We’re Looking For:
This role requires someone who has first-hand experience delivering major projects and understands the realities of project environments. Typical backgrounds include:
- Civil Engineering
- Construction Engineering

- Programme Management within major capital projects
Most candidates will have started their career as a project engineer, site engineer, or project manager before moving into programme or delivery improvement roles.
