Commercial Gas Engineer

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems in a variety of settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and practical skills in plumbing, welding, and the use of hand and power tools. The position involves working on diverse projects that require technical expertise, physical strength, and attention to detail.

Covering North to South of the river in London.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair gas systems in commercial and industrial environments
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plumbing techniques to complete tasks effectively
• Perform maintenance work on gas appliances and associated equipment
• Carry out heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and mechanical diagrams to facilitate installation or repairs
• Assist in assembly tasks related to gas systems or related infrastructure
• Use joblogic software, must be computer/ tablet literate
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any safety hazards or issues
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely

Experience

• Proven qualifications and experience in Commercial gas
• Ideally enhanced DBS but basic as a minimum
• Own hand tools
• On call rota optional

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
