About the role
An established export packaging manufacturer in Banbury is looking for a Production Operative to join their timber production team. You will be building timber packing cases, crates and pallets to customer specification, using saws, nail guns and hand tools to construct sturdy, precise packaging that goods rely on for safe transit around the world.
What you will do
- Build timber packing cases, crates and pallets to size and specification
- Cut, measure and fit timber accurately using saws and hand tools
- Assemble using nail guns and other fixing tools
- Work from job specifications and drawings
- Check completed work for strength and quality before it moves on
- Keep the work area safe, tidy and organised
What you will bring
- Previous experience working with timber, whether in pallet or case making, joinery, carpentry, fencing, sawmilling or general timber production
- Confident using saws, nail guns and hand tools
- Comfortable measuring and cutting accurately
- Physically fit and happy with hands‑on, active work
- Reliability and good timekeeping
