We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to take a leading role on a flagship residential development in Poole. This is a multi-million scheme delivering 360 high-quality apartments over a 3-year programme. As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for the project, ensuring robust cost control, value management, and financial reporting throughout the lifecycle of the development. This is a key role requiring strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex project demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full commercial ownership of the Barclays House project from pre-construction through to final account
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts
  • Lead procurement activities, including subcontractor selection, negotiation, and appointment
  • Administer contracts in accordance with agreed terms (e.g., JCT/NEC)
  • Monitor and report on project financial performance, including cost/value reconciliations
  • Manage variations, change control processes, and associated commercial risks
  • Assess and process subcontractor applications, payments, and final accounts
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure programme and cost objectives are achieved
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships
  • Prepare monthly CVR reports for board level reporting
  • Chair weekly cost report meetings
