This is an autonomous, mostly-remote Chartered Building Surveyor position where you'll take full ownership of a varied portfolio across commercial and residential properties (with some exposure to industrial work), covering both professional services and project delivery.
Day to day you'll be leading inspections and surveys, producing high-quality reports, diagnosing defects, handling dilapidations work, managing party wall matters, and delivering contract administration on refurbishments and fit-out/improvement projects, while coordinating contractors and consultants and acting as the main point of contact for clients from instruction through to close-out.
The role suits an MRICS surveyor who can run work independently, manage stakeholder relationships confidently, and is happy to travel across London and the South with a weekly touchpoint in West Malling.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead inspections/surveys across commercial and residential properties
- Produce high-quality reports and technical documentation
- Dilapidations: reporting and associated documentation (likely negotiation exposure depending on experience)
- Defects diagnosis/defect investigations
- Contract Administration (project delivery/refurb & fit-out type instructions included)
- Party Wall matters (experience required)
- Coordinate stakeholders: clients, contractors, consultants, and manage relationships end-to-end
- Project coordination/management experience is a plus (helps with running jobs from start to finish)
