The Assistant Accountant will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with day-to-day finance operations while reporting directly to the Corporate Accountant. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and motivated individual looking to develop their accounting experience within a dynamic and fast-paced international business environment.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Assisting with reconciliations and payroll.
  • Maintaining accurate accounting records across multiple entities.

The key job requirements are:

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding by entity and cost centre. Assist with the supplier invoice approval process. Review and process employee expense claims. Raise customer invoices and credit notes. Assist in preparing aged debtor and creditor reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Payments & Reconciliations: Prepare weekly supplier payment runs for approval. Assist with posting journals including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Work Experience: Previous experience in a finance, accounting role is desirable but not essential. Suitable for recent graduates or candidates starting their accounting career. Exposure to finance processes such as invoice processing, reconciliations, or expense management would be beneficial.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
